Most of the twins I've seen from this area are green in color, but pink examples have been found as well. Here, we have an incredibly large "Spinel twinned" BI COLOR Fluorite specimen that is not only impressive for its size, but its remarkable gemminess. A beautiful group of sharp

but the piece sits very well on its own without the aid of a base or clay

The second significant attribute of this piece is the fact that it formed on a solid Quartz-Diorite porphyry matrix

This particular piece features a few top quality

save for a very small contact on one edge

This piece is a gorgeous multi-color doubly terminated “floater” crystal with fairly good luster along the striated prism faces and both terminations

Some of the most classic Chrysoberyl specimens in the world are those from the small state Espirito Santo in southeastern Brazil

to help retain its color
